In this 4-week online course co-taught by Hands In! Theatrical Assistants Christopher Carpenter and Amberley Harris, you will learn and develop many unique acting skills in a class format that is accessible to Deaf and Hearing alike! Borrowing from innovations in Deaf, Blind, and Disability-friendly theatrical styles, we will teach you new ways to act. This class is suitable for beginning actors or anyone looking learn a new skillset. Challenge yourself with activities like acting in the dark, or acting with just your face!

In this 4 week online course, taught by Hands In! Director Amara Ede, we will start by learning the fundamentals of American Sign Language and how to use those skills perform popular songs in American Sign Language. We will take popular songs from the radio, Broadway, movies, as well as seasonal favorites and learn how to perform them in ASL for Deaf audiences. This interactive class is suited for beginning and intermediate students, who want to start or continue their journey into ASL performance.
